Using the enquiry form
The form prepares an email using the name, email address, event description and any optional company, phone, date or venue details you enter. It does not upload your entries to a form service or save them in local or session storage.
Choosing “Prepare enquiry email” passes the entries to your email application. You must send the email there yourself. A copyable version stays on the page. Your browser may restore form entries and your email application may retain drafts according to your own settings.
Name, email and an event description are needed to use the email-preparation feature. Other fields are optional. Providing information is voluntary; you can also email or call directly. Enough contact and event information is needed to respond meaningfully. Please do not send CPR numbers, health information or other sensitive details through this enquiry route.
Why enquiry information is processed
Enquiries are used to discuss the requested services and prepare an offer. Where you enquire about a contract for yourself, the relevant basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b): taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
For enquiries on behalf of a company and other ordinary business correspondence, the relevant basis is Article 6(1)(f): the legitimate interest in responding to requests and communicating about event services. You have a right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
If an enquiry becomes a job, information necessary to perform your contract is processed under Article 6(1)(b). Required accounting records are processed under Article 6(1)(c) to comply with bookkeeping obligations. There is no newsletter sign-up, marketing consent or automated decision-making in this website.
Email handling
Business email is hosted using Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online. If you send an enquiry, Microsoft and its relevant service providers process the message and contact details to deliver and store business email. Your chosen email provider also handles the message. The website does not upload enquiry contents to its hosting service.
Microsoft’s published Data Protection Addendum describes its processing commitments and international transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses. Microsoft’s EU Data Boundary has exceptions, so use of Exchange Online is not a guarantee that every processing operation remains in the EU/EEA. Contact Jakob K for information or a copy of the safeguards applicable to your enquiry.
Website hosting
The public website at jakob-k.dk is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub and its service providers process technical connection information to deliver and protect the website. GitHub records visitor IP addresses for security purposes, including visits by people who are not signed in to GitHub. You do not need a GitHub account to view this website.
For GitHub's processing purposes, retention criteria, international transfer safeguards and privacy contact routes, see the GitHub Privacy Statement. The one-year enquiry retention rule does not control GitHub's security logs. Enquiry form contents are not sent to GitHub by this website.
Portfolio images and image enquiries
The portfolio uses event photographs and a stage-design visualisation to show lighting projects. Faces of other people have been blurred in the published photographs; Jakob remains visible in his portrait. Blurring does not necessarily prevent recognition from clothing or event context. If you have a concern about a published image, contact jkr@jakob-k.dk with the page or a description of the image. Please do not send identity documents unless we specifically request information necessary to verify a request.
We use the information you provide to assess and respond to your request, meet applicable data-protection obligations under Article 6(1)(c), and, where necessary, handle rights or legal claims under Article 6(1)(f). We keep the request only as long as necessary for these purposes. Contact and rights information elsewhere in this notice also applies to image requests.
How long information is kept
Enquiries are reviewed and deleted manually. Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted no later than one year after the last substantive contact about the enquiry, or sooner when no longer needed. This limited retention supports relevant follow-up and continuity of the discussion, under the legitimate-interest basis in GDPR Article 6(1)(f). It is not permission to send marketing.
For enquiries that become jobs, relevant correspondence is retained as needed to deliver and administer the work, meet legal obligations or establish or defend a specific legal claim. Only information necessary for those purposes is retained.
Where correspondence forms part of accounting records, Danish bookkeeping rules generally require retention for five years from the end of the financial year concerned. That does not automatically apply to unsuccessful enquiries.
The website has no enquiry database. Closing the page does not delete messages or drafts stored in your own browser or email application.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in data protection law, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion or restriction of processing. You can object where processing relies on legitimate interests. Data portability can apply where processing is automated and based on a contract or consent. These rights are not absolute; for example, a legal retention duty can prevent immediate deletion.
Contact jkr@jakob-k.dk to exercise your rights. Requests must normally receive a response within one month; the law permits an extension in certain cases, with reasons provided within that first month.

Cookies and visits to this website
The Jakob K application code sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising pixels, local storage or session storage. Its fonts, application script and images are served with the site. It has no embedded videos, maps or social-media feeds. Hosting security logs are described above.
Jakob K has not added optional tracking or a marketing-cookie consent banner. This notice will be updated if data handling changes.
