Making a small rig feel bigger
The brief was to get the most out of a limited setup. I designed and operated the lighting, using Eurolite SuperStrobe ABL fixtures as the workhorses to give the stage height and depth.
A compact setup with a big impact
I designed and operated a compact lighting feature behind the stage. Martin MAC Aura fixtures mounted horizontally on the rear truss created sweeping flyout effects for the big moments and softer looks between presentations. The setup also included Martin ERA 400 CLD fixtures positioned on the stage floor.

About Jakob
I’m Jakob Kristensen. I enjoy working out the visual idea for a stage, then finding the practical solution that makes it possible.
I discuss the concept with both the customer and the production company so the equipment choices support the event. For smaller jobs—student parties with DJs and live artists, private celebrations, Christmas parties and local events—the focus is on practical support. That can mean operating the lights for a DJ set, creating a party atmosphere or supporting a live performance. I stay flexible, work with the people already involved and adapt to what the event needs on the night.
My work spans festivals, award shows, Christmas parties and private events. Solutions and flexibility guide how I work, whether I’m involved from the first idea or brought in for a single event.
